Fed Up With Patriots drama: Let’s Roll !

Season Starts Today

We made it Patriot fans, the patriots drama is finally over!  I like to think this is the best time of the year around here. The Pats take the field looking for their 6th Lombardi. The leaves change, weather is cooler, it is a great time to be in New England.  With all that being said, let’s try and tackle a few stories going into this season.

How will Tom Brady Look ?

How’s Brady at age 41 going to look compared to all these young Bucks in the game? I wouldn’t worry about the “Cliff” we’ve heard about for what 5 years now “cough”. It never ceases to amaze me how desperate people are trying to be right about his demise.  Don’t get me wrong, I get it. People wanna say I told you so, but come on! Sit back and watch the man still perform on the field, and that cliff is still off in the valley somewhere. Let’s appreciate what Brady is still able to do at this stage of his career.

Brian Flores

Brian Flores is someone I want to touch on here. What I will be curious to see is what type of wrinkles will he put into this defense? I suspect what you’ll see is a few tweaks here and there, but for the most part the defense will stay close to the same as the past few seasons.  The defense should be faster imo, and Jordan Richards is no longer here, so that is a plus.  How much will Bill let Flores tinker with the defense really? I hope Bill let’s this defense mold under Flores, and stays out of the way so to speak.  I’m thrilled he’s getting a opportunity with this defense, and can’t wait to see how it unfolds. I think everyone knows how much I like defense, and if you haven’t noticed yet you will by the end of the season.

Last but certainly not least Bill Belichick. What can we really say here? I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of hearing about Jimmy G, Alex Guerrero, and all this talk about a feud with Brady. I don’t care about all of that nonsense.  It is time for football now , and that stuff will take care of itself one or another. I know people like a story, some more then others obviously. I’m not that person, give me a solid 60 minutes and I’m happy.

Let’s Roll!

Finally, let’s hope for an incredible season that ends with a 6th Lombardi. I know it has been a long wait for opening day. I can’t wait for kickoff! Let’s get it Pats fans. The wait is finally over, and here is to many victories, and hearing that glorious 3rd down horn let’s go!
